The aim of INTERTIC is to coordinate and promote worldwide diffusion of academic research on innovation and competition and on the New Industrial Organization. The website collects theoretical and empirical papers written by top economists on these issues. It is completely independent and it attempts to provide interesting material for economists and students and for anybody interested to know more about this field. We guarantee absolute protection of copyrighted material and, in general, of the moral rights of authorship.

Any authors or copyright holders of the posted papers can choose at any time to 1) withdraw their papers from the website, 2) change the version of the paper with a new one and 3) submit other related papers just by contacting us at comments@intertic.org. Each published paper is automatically removed from the website after a period of three months unless an explicit authorization by email has been provided by the authors.

The website contains three different categories of papers. The first category concerns older papers already published in academic journals or equivalent copyrighted websites. For some of these papers the copyrights are expired (these are really "old classics" in the field). For another group of papers the authors, or the copyright-holders, have explicitly provided their consensus to post the paper on line. Finally, for the other papers in this category we provide links to the original sources where you can download these papers according to the rules of the copyright-holders. In any case, when the papers are copyrighted, a single copy may be downloaded and printed for the reader’s personal research and study only; no other use is permitted.

The remaining two categories of papers concern recent papers which are harder (or impossible) to find elsewhere on line. One category of papers includes working papers which are already freely downloadable on the Internet: we provide them directly or through links to the original websites, hence you can easily and freely download these papers.

The last category includes new papers which are posted on line for the first time by INTERTIC. We provide direct and free access to these papers.
